The Capital Region Development Authority (CRDA) has already allocated the land for the hospital. On Monday, work started to remove the HT line tower, which is located on this land.

Tadikonda MLA Tenali Sravan Kumar performed bhoomi puja at the land where this tower will be relocated. The local leaders and farmers have also participated in this event.

Speaking on the occasion, Sravan Kumar recalled that CRDA allocated land for 132 organisations during the TDP regime in 2014-19. He said that the foundation for the Basavatarakam Cancer Hospital was laid at that time only.

“After coming to power in 2019, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy ruined everything with his three capital policy. Now, as the TDP-JSP-BJP are back in power, the works of these constructions have restarted,” said Sravan Kumar.

He assured that many major establishments will be constructed and many investments will be made in Amaravati in the coming days.

Basavatarakam Cancer Hospital in Amaravati will be constructed in a land of 15 acres. In the first phase, a 300-bed hospital will be constructed. Plans are being made to expand the capacity to 1000 beds in the future. The construction works will begin in January 2025.
