Battleground Pulivendula: Crucial Election In 10 Days

Pulivendula ZPTC By-election is going to happen on the 12th of this month.

TDP has taken this prestigiously and wants to wrest the seat at any cost.

TDP In-Charge B Tech Ravi’s wife, Marreddy Latha Reddy, is the TDP candidate, while Tummala Hemalatha Reddy is the YSR Congress Candidate.

B Tech Ravi pulled off a blinder in Kadapa by defeating YS Vivekananda Reddy, eight years ago, when TDP was in power.

He will want to replicate the same now.

If YSR Congress is defeated in Pulivendula, it will crush the morale of the Cadre.

If it wins there, it will boost the party’s confidence across the state, and Chandrababu Naidu would not want that.

Jagan Mohan Reddy entrusted the responsibility of this By-election to Avinash Reddy.

When Jagan was in power, Avinash oversaw the party responsibilities in the entire Kadapa district.

It is said that he is always unreachable to the party cadre and leaders. As a result, the YSR Congress got a negative result in the recent elections.

In the recent Assembly elections, the YSR Congress is left with only three seats out of the total ten seats. Even Jagan’s majority was reduced in the 2024 election.

One of the three seats is Jagan’s seat, and another seat is due to the BJP fielding a weak candidate.

If not for Sharmila contesting for Kadapa Parliament, TDP would have defeated Avinash as well in Kadapa Parliament.

Jagan deserted his sister and mother to protect Avinash in Vivekananda Reddy’s Murder case.

So, the pressure is on Avinash to win the seat.

But TDP will have the support of the entire Government machinery in this election.

Also, it will be interesting to see if Sharmila hits the ground and campaigns against YSR Congress and Avinash Reddy.

We have ten days to go for the election, and both parties have intensified their campaign.
