
Employees who turned up for work at the San Francisco office were in for a surprise as they got to see modest bedrooms featuring unmade mattresses, drab curtains, and giant conference-room telepresence monitors. Well, surely it is an upgrade from the Therm-a-Rest+sleeping bag situation shown by one Twitter employee in November.
While one of the rooms had a plant, another picture shared with the media had a bright orange carpet with a wooden bedside table and a queen-size bed, and a table lamp. There were two chairs hinting at convivial workplace collaborations.
As in the past, nothing was communicated with the staff that chose to stay after Elon Musk asked the employees to either quit or work hard for Twitter 2.0. The number of bedrooms is unclear for now, though some employees feel that it is a natural extension of staying in very late.
