Behind Naidu’s 1% Votebase Claim for BJP and Janasena

TDP Supremo Chandrababu Naidu in the Annual Mahanadu went on to say that both the BJP and Janasena parties will be confined only to 1% Votes in the coming share. This comes as a surprise to many since they were predicting Janasena to be a considerable force in 2019.

But then, our sources in TDP tells us that Naidu has made such claims only after digging into several surveys conducted in the last couple of months. “He has a support base in a section of Youth and a part of Kapu Community and that would not damage much,” the source said.

“A vast majority of Youth supporting Janasena do not have a vote and Pawan Kalyan impact on Kapu Community is minimal. The surveys revealed that the hype in the community is not even 10% when Praja Rajyam happened in 2008 and 2009,” they added.

So, considering all these factors, Chandrababu Naidu may have made such claims, they say. On the other side, it is no wonder if BJP is reduced to less than 1% Votebase in Andhra Pradesh as the party which is already weak is further battered by the Special Status issue.
