Beware!! Government is watching you!

Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar announced the idea of setting up of an integrated people’s information hub. The facility will allow quick and efficient analysis of citizens’ data. He called for increased use of technology, databases that can be stored online and smart applications for better governance.

The idea of the people’s information hub is to consolidate information about citizens at one location and will make it easy to keep an eye on suspicious activities by individuals. KCR also said that the feeling of government watching the citizens will make sure that they discharge all the duties well.

This is a similar idea planned by Andhra Pradesh government couple of weeks ago. Months after coming to power, KCR government conducted an intensive household survey about every family in the state bringing the state to a stand-still for a day. There is a criticism that the entire exercise is waste. So Telangana government should make sure this new initiative is different.
