TDP’s Failure in Utilizing the Best Orator

GITAMS Chairman and TDP’s Vizag MP candidate, Mathukumilli Bharat made headlines this week with his excellent way of handling a YSR Congress miscreant who tried to disrupt a panel discussion at TANA.

Bharat did not say a word objectionable. The language used is so polite but still comes as a slap to the intruder drawing claps from the crowd. That oratory skill is exactly what is needed for a leader in politics.

Some one of that sort is missing in TDP’s ranks for a long time. The party badly needs a Youth touch. Nara Lokesh is bridging the gap but he is too occupied with his Padayatra.

TDP needs some one who can talk on issues clearly and take the party stand to the public. Ram Mohan Naidu and Bharat are such capable leaders. But RMN is only confined to Parliamentary debates.

Bharat is a family member even then he is not put to use rightly.

On the part of Bharat, he definitely has some impression in the people but this occasional guest appearances will not help in politics. He lost in 2019 due to a slender margin mainly because of the vote split by JD Lakshminarayana.

Keeping aside the coming election, it is gross injustice to Bharat’s capability, if he is restricted to a single constituency, it is time Bharat and TDP should also realize that.
