BJP plays intelligent politics on Centre’s failure

After the union budget, BJP is being criticized heavily for the meager 100 Crore allocation to the Polavaram project which is treated as National Project in the Andhra Pradesh Reorganization Act. The state BJP had come out with an intelligent propaganda against the state government for escaping this criticism.

They said center allotted 250 Crore for Polavaram in 2014-15 budget but the state government failed to use those funds. BJP’s IT cell successfully took this in to people through social media. However the fact is that even though 250 Crore is allotted in last year budget, the center did not release a single rupee for the project.

The state government on the other side, even though in dire financial situation spent 322.08 Crores in the last year and submitted those bills to Center recently. Center agreed to release the allotted 250 Crore which means the government of India still did not clarify on the 72.08 Crores spent by AP. Such is the commitment of the center on Polavaram!
