BJP Sunk Janasena as well in Vishakapatnam?

Some of the Janasena candidates in Greater Vishakapatnam Municipal Corporation (GVMC) slogged really hard for victory. There is significant support for Janasena in some wards due to the presence of Pawan Kalyan’s community voters in big numbers.

Despite Pawan Kalyan not campaigning for them, the candidates worked really hard to impress the voters and win the election. But then, the Vishaka Steel Plant Privatization issue has dominated the emotions and changed it all for them at the last minute.

If not for the Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman’s statement in the Parliament on the last day of the campaign, their prospects would have been better, saying the candidates. Pawan Kalyan’s statement which looked like supporting the central government’s decision also did not go well with the voters.

The Results will be out on the 14th of this month. The elections to Municipalities and Municipal Corporations are the first elections on party symbols after the 2019 General election.
