BJP To Leave Tirupati Seat for Janasena?

BJP has been making tall claims about growing big in Andhra Pradesh politics but then, the recent Panchayat Election Results portray the a different picture. The party supported candidates have just managed a handful of seats and that too with Janasena support.

Most seats are in Kapu community dominated areas and with Janasena support. The election has strengthened the cause of Janasena for Tirupati By-election. Sources say that BJP is now okay to offer the Tirupati seat to Janasena. A decision on this may be taken soon.

“Both BJP and Janasena do not stand a chance in Tirupati. If Janasena votes do not transfer, BJP may even lose the deposit. The local Balija association already moved a resolution to vote for NOTA if Janasena is not given the seat. So, we are thinking on the lines to leave the seat to Janasena,” a source in BJP told us.

Its been more than five months the sitting MP, Balli Durga Prasad Rao passed away and the election has to happen within six months. And so, the election notification may come any time.
