Blame on RTC, Techies take public transport

On Wednesday, Techies of as many as 13 IT companies in Cyberabad took buses to their offices in order to create the awareness about the need to reduce carbon footprint. Wednesday is taken as ‘All Bus day’. Telangana State Road Transport Corporation deployed extra buses to serve the IT Corridors.

It is said that the occupancy is the buses got increased by 30% on Wednesday. Many Techies blame the poor frequency of RTC buses in those routes as a reason for many opting personal vehicles there by increasing the pollution.

Going forward, the Techies owed to take bus at least once a week so as to contribute their part in reduction of carbon print. Many were even ready to take bus daily if RTC manages to increase the bus fleet and facilities. The Hyderabad Software Enterprises Association (HYSEA) announced that they will take up ‘All Bus day’ more frequently to increase the awareness.
