YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is in Vishakapatnam. A delegation of Vishaka Steel Plant Parirakshana Samiti met him and requested for his clear stance on the issue.
Jagan as always resorted to Ookadhampudu Upanyasam. He told them his party vehemently opposed the Privatization and also reminded them about how a resolution was passed in the Assembly against the Privatization.
He assured them that the new government at the Center would not get the absolute majority and YSR Congress with its MPs would stall the Privatization.
While Blue Media says it is a Ukku Promise, it is actually Jagan’s Thukku Promise.
On the Steel Plant issue, Jagan is confined only to formalities. He just brushed off his hands by sending a letter and the Assembly Resolution.
There were many instances when the Central Government needed the help of the YSR Congress in passing crucial bills in the Parliament.
Jagan never said he would support it only if the Privatization is stalled.
He was happy by giving support to the BJP whenever needed so that there is no progress in his cases or YS Vivekananda Reddy’s case.
Now, Modi is mostly likely to return to power with a comfortable majority. The BJP is even saying it would create a record with 400+ seats.
Even if Modi fell short of the majority which is a very unlikely scenario, a bit of movement in Jagan’s cases or Avinash Reddy’s case will set things right.
Keeping all that aside, all national media surveys say TDP+ is going to win majority seats in the Lok Sabha. Probably, these dreams about playing a crucial role at the center is also far-fetched.
