Botsa eyeing BJP?

There seem to be an exodus of Congress leaders in to BJP in Andhra Pradesh. We have seen leaders like Kanna already donning the Saffron and more leaders likely to take the same route. We have learnt that former PCC President and Senior Congress leader from Uttarandhra, Botsa Satya Narayana is also in talks with BJP to change his loyalty. It is told that Botsa is slowly pushing his followers to the saffron party and is trying to clear path for him.

However BJP high command is very cautious in admitting Botsa to BJP as he carries several corruption allegations and also it will make their ally Telugu Desam Party comfortable. And coming to Congress, this will be a death blow for the party as Botsa is one of the very few senior faces left in the party.

It is known that Congress Botsa Satyanarayana from Cheepurupalli Assembly segment in Vizianagaram and his wife Botsa Jhansi contesting from the Vizianagaram LS seat had lost both the seats due to the anti-congress wave in the state due to the state bifurcation. However it is said that they see no future for Congress going further in the state and wants to join BJP. This support of BJP will also bring them protection from their arch-rival Chandrababu Naidu who is in the power.
