Botsa’s Bizzare Arguments About Amaravati

Municipal and Urban Development Minister Botsa Satyanarayana came up with a strange argument about government keeping Amaravati works on hold. “We did not stop Amaravati works on hold. Contractors themselves stopped the works after Telugu Desam Party lost the election. We did not know what is the relation between them,” Botsa said.

This is the most ridiculous statement a minister can do, TDP leaders said. If the contractors go back winding up after TDP lost, it only indicates that they do not trust the new government. If Botsa does not know what is the relation between the contractors and TDP, it is an insult to the people who gave such an overwhelming majority to YSR Congress, they say.

Big Construction companies like L&T, NCC, Shapoorji Pallonji are working in the capital. If Andhra Pradesh Government finds fault with them, it will also shake the stock market. Botsa also added that the TDP Government did not reveal from where it will pool in funds for the capital. “They said one thing to the media and did another,” Botsa added.

TDP Leaders say with YSR Congress Government successfully driving away from the loans of marquee financial institutions like World Bank, Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB), etc, such claims of the government are very much expected. Amid this political game, the farmer who gave land for the capital is worried about his future.
