Brakes to KCR’s Secretariat shifting Plan!

Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao announced in the Assembly a couple of days that there is no stopping to his government in shifting the Secretariat to Erragadda Chest Hospital. Knowing KCR’s speed and adamant nature, every one thought it is done. However the unexpected has happened.

Medical Council of Indian turned down the proposal of shifting the Chest Hospital to Vikarabad. There is a medical PG course available in the hospital. Telangana government requested to transfer these seats to Osmania and Gandhi Hospitals. But MCI refused it citing lack of proper infrastructure in those hospitals.

Telangana government had to lose those seats if it is still particular about shifting of the hospital. However this can be done only when all the existing students in the college are passed out. It will be a very tough step to take and is also likely to create a political storm. But with KCR at the helm, we can always expect the unexpected.
