IPS-turned-politician RS Praveen Kumar left Bahujan Samaj Party. He was the president of the BSP in Telangana.
After announcing his decision, Praveen Kumar met BRS chief K. Chandrashekar Rao at the latter’s residence in Hyderabad. It is being reported that Praveen will join BRS soon and contest for the Lok Sabha constituency from Nagar Kurnool.
Just a few days ago, Praveen-led Telangana BSP made an alliance with the BRS. He also stated that BSP will contest from Hyderabad and Warangal, as a part of the alliance. However, his leaving the party now became a topic of discussion in political circles.
He said that it is for BSP to decide their future course of action in Telangana. He alleged that the BJP has been trying hard to dent the alliance of BRS and BSP. He said that Kavitha’s arrest was a part of BJP’s evil tactics.
An official announcement of Praveen’s BRS joining is expected to be made soon.
