BRS Activist: Demolish Cyber Towers!

A recent controlled demolition of buildings 7 and 8 at the Raheja Mindspace IT park in Madhapur has grabbed the city’s attention, becoming a viral sensation on social media.

This demolition paves the way for the construction of taller towers, scheduled for inauguration in 2026

The development has received mixed reactions, with some welcoming it for facilitating larger structures while others express concerns about the building’s relatively young age.

A prominent BRS activist has now taken to his X (Twitter account) and advocated demolishing the Cyber Towers for a more modern, eco-friendly, and parking-friendly structure in its place.

He wrote, “Cyber tower is not feasible for current Hyderabad, we can bring modern building in that place with more eco-friendly & more parking space !! Plz demolish that cyber tower building and construct a new building!!”

HITEC City’s focal point is the 10-story cylindrical building known as Cyber Towers, offering 500,000 square feet of executive space. It houses numerous IT and ITES companies, including major players like Oracle Corporation, GE Capital, Four Soft Limited, Keane Incorporated, Patni Computer Systems Limited, and Prithvi Information Solutions.

His desire to demolish the iconic Cyber Towers due to political hatred reflects the state of politics and the extent to which this hatred is affecting their supporters.

Cyber Towers, part of the HITEC project’s first phase, was inaugurated in November 1998 by the then Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu.
