Bypass surgery needed for Congress?

The 125+ years old Congress Party seem to be on ventilator across the nation. Things are not very different in Telangana even though it is the party which granted the decades old separate statehood demand. The party struggled to milk any advantage of that in 2014 elections and from things only got worse.

What is more hurting is that Congress could not even manage to win the by-elections in its bastions like Narayankhed and Palair. What is further insulting is that they have conceded never before seen or heard majorities to TRS in both the occasions. Defections from Congress to TRS are also likely to increase after this.

Senior Telangana Congress leaders are also admitting that the grand old party needs a bypass surgery very soon or will expire and disappear from the political sphere of the state. Having said that all, no body knows what is needed to be done for the party’s revival.
