Key Step Forward for Delimitation

Reliable Sources in Delhi told us that Union Home Minister Rajnadh Singh has signed a file asking to Prepare the Cabinet Note regarding the proposed delimitation in both the Telugu States. This note will be jointly prepared by the Home Ministry and Law Ministry.

Once the note is put up, it will be sent to the cabinet for its proposal. The Cabinet note is being prepared in two ways – Amending the Article 170 in Constitution and Amending the Andhra Pradesh Reorganization Act.

The Cabinet will take the final decision about what to be implemented and a bill will be put up accordingly in the Parliament in the upcoming session. Chief Ministers of both the Telugu States who will be in Delhi tomorrow for a Niti Aayog meeting will be taking up the issue with the Central Government.
