Cabinet Sub-Committee to Unearth Corruption in Naidu’s Regime

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy had announced forming of a Sub-Committee to unearth the Corruption if any in the Previous Government. The Chief Minister announced an investigation into 30 aspects with the help of CCD, CID, Vigilance Enforcement Departments.

Jagan also announced Higher Officials, Ministers, Chief Minister if proved to be guilty in this investigation will not be spared and legal action will be initiated. Speaking at the review of Power Department, Jagan alleged that 2636 Crore loss was inflicted to the government treasury as Power was purchased for higher rates than the existing market prices.

“This is a result of the massive corruption rampant in the previous goverment. We will ensure that the money will be recovered from the companies who are the beneficiaries and if they do not fall in line, their agreements will be canceled,” the Chief Minister announced.

The Cabinet Sub-Committee will be formally constituted in a couple of days by the Government.
