So now Telangana Bill is back to Delhi and now it is not in the purview of the state. Leaders in the state who are trying to stop the bifurcation can do nothing except doing rounds to Delhi. But one person may have a remote chance of doing it. And it is Chandra Babu Naidu.
Naidu previously played a very crucial in National politics and has the credit of helping two anti-congress governments at the center. He is master in dealing with several regional parties across the Nation. Analysts feel that Babu is capable of halting Telangana process at least till the elections if he lobbies hard at the center. With the talks of a possible alliance between TDP and BJP, it will become a lot easier.
On the flip side, Naidu’s anti- Telangana moves will come under scanner and will severe affect his credibility in the region. We will have to see how the senior politician handles this issue. The Group of Ministers (GOM) is expected to meet on February 4th or 5th to decide the next course of action for the Telangana Bill.
