The Deputy CM asked for the cases to be lifted immediately on two students who are in judicial remand. He also directed the legal department officials to take the necessary steps to avoid any legal issues arising later.

It must be recollected that 53 students were taken by the police as preventive detention. However, two students, B Rohit Kumar and Erram Naveen Kumar were arrested and taken into judicial remand.

The police alleged that as the clearing of Kancha Gachibowli was happening, the students gathered at the place and tried to obstruct them with sticks and stones.

The police also reiterated that no force was used or lathicharge was done on students. They said that no students were vacated from the hostels.
