Chandrababu was in Kothagollapalem in Bapatla district for distributing pensions. After that, he attended a show by DWACRA women.
Babu bought a pattu saree worth Rs 12,000 for his wife Bhuwaneswari from Chinta Mayuri who is a weaver and member of DWACRA. After the purchase, Babu told Mayuri that she must earn at least Rs 40,000 to Rs 50,000 per month.
Some time back, Babu had bought a silk saree for his wife for Rs 25,000 after bargaining the price at a DWACRA event held in Markapuram in Prakasam district.
In a case of like father, like son, Nara Lokesh too gifted a saree for his wife Brahmani on the occasion of Sankranti. He bought a Mangalagiri saree giving a huge boost to the weavers in the area.
Both Chandrababu and Lokesh have set examples by showing their family side and also boosting the morale of weavers by buying hand-woven products. Indeed a welcome gesture.
