CBN reviews RK Beach cleanliness
Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu’s visit to Visakhapatnam’s RK Beach offered a glimpse of his informal side.
During the Swarnandhra-Swachhandhra programme, he stopped at a roadside stall, tasted muri mixture and interacted with vendor Attada Nagamani.
But the main focus of his visit was beach cleanliness. Naidu joined GVMC sanitation workers, reviewed arrangements during the Ganesh immersion period and was informed about plans to remove 1,200 tonnes of plastic waste from the coastline.
He also interacted with scuba divers removing plastic waste and discarded fishing nets from underwater areas.
The muri mixture moment may have attracted attention, but the larger message was clear, keeping RK Beach clean requires daily monitoring, responsible staff and consistent administrative action.
