Cell phones banned for School girls!

In growing tech savy Indian society, a village from Gujarat banned minor school girls from using mobile phones. The decision was taken unanimously by the Panchyat of Suraj village in Kadi taluka of Mehsana district.

To substantiate the decision as right, the village Sarpanch said that mobiles are the key drivers to distract the minds of girls from study. He admitted that this is WhatsApp world and everyone can chat without knowing others. Hence, banning the mobiles can do no harm to girls but they are allowed using their parent’s phones inside their house under their supervision. They are not even allowed to carry the mobile phones out of the house. If they do so, a fine around Rs. 2100 will be levied on them.

The village sparred the college girl students from banning phones as they need to go for colleges in adjoining cities and they also opined that college girls can differentiate between good and bad.
