Center clarifies Section 8 in Parliament

Central government had finally issued a clarification on Section 8 of Andhra Pradesh Reorganization Act. In an answer given to TDP Guntur MP Jayadev Galla on the floor of Parliament, Center clarified that Governor will have powers over Hyderabad according to Section 8 of the bifurcation act.

According to Section 8, Governor will have to protect the people and their responsibilities in common capital. Center also admitted that Union Home Ministry has the responsibility of the implementation of the Andhra Pradesh Reorganization Act and they are looking through all the aspects.

However the center confirmed that they did not get any complaints on the law and order issues of Hyderabad till now. Section 8 is the most controversial part of the bifurcation Act for which both AP and Telangana are locking horns.
