Center extends help to AP for safe cities!

Central Government has extended its help to Andhra Pradesh to make few cities and towns of the state as ‘Safety Cities’. Police Forces Modernization department of the Central Home Minister will be funding this project in which all the areas of selected cities and towns will be installed with cc cameras.

All the public places and roads will fitted with cc cameras and will be continuously monitored by a Command Central Center.Andhra Pradesh Police will also make the Private companies in these cities and towns to install cameras to make them totally safe. The pictures taken from these cameras will be stored for some time and will help as evidence in various crimes, traffic violations etc.

This project is aimed at increasing the strength and capabilities of the entire Policing System. This move is expected to bring down the crime index of the state very much. Police department is preparing proposals for this project and will be very soon sending them to the center.
