The Task Force in the report said that the project is feasible to be set up in Kadapa. The project will initiate huge employment opportunities in the region. Earlier, the Central Government rejected the proposal saying that Iron Ore available in Kadapa is of a Poor Quality.

But the State Government proactively agreed to give necessary Iron Ore for free to make the project financially viable. The Union Steel Ministry is now seeking more contribution from the state in terms of Land, Power, Transport facilities etc.
