Center Helpless in Nimmagadda’s Arrest?

Famous Industrialist Nimmagadda Prasad has been arrested in Belgrade by Serbia Police in relation to the Vanpic Case. Prasad is on a vacation and is stunned by this development. Ras Al Khaimah, a small country in UAE has complained about fraud in the Vanpic Project and the arrest happened upon the complaint.

A few YSR Congress MPs dashed a letter to External Affairs Minister, Jaishankar to exert diplomatic pressure on Serbia Government as he was arrested in a baseless case. Vanpic case is currently in the court and Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is also one of the accused in this case.

However, sources say that External Affairs Minister, Jaishankar reportedly told the YSR Congress MPs that the Government of India could do very little in this case since it is a civil matter. Jaishankar also added that in such cases, the Government of India’s role is limited to arranging a meeting with the concerned if sought by the family or any others.

Also, the Central Government could not speak on behalf of the accused as the issue is also prejudice. On the other side, we are told that Nimmagadda was allowed to speak to his son and lawyers. They are trying to put up a bail application. This arrest has become a weapon in the hand of TDP to target YSR Congress.
