Center Trying to Stop Polavaram Through Green Tribunal?

The National Green Tribunal had issued a notice to Andhra Pradesh Government about the construction of the Diaphragm wall of Polavaram. The Green Tribunal asked the Government to respond to the allegations about the obstruction in the minimum environment flow in Godavari River.

The Green Tribunal asked Polavaram Project Authority and the State Government on the allegations that the construction will affect marine life & livelihood of fishermen. The State Government is preparing to respond to the Notice of the Tribunal.

On the other side, the State Government says that it is an intentional effort to stall the works of the Project and it is very much expected as a part of harassment after the Telugu Desam Party has pulled out of NDA Government a couple of months back.
