Center turns down KCR’s request!

Telangana Chief Minister K Chandra Sekhar Rao in his previous visit to Delhi has put up a proposal with the Union Minister, Arun Jaitley to allow the newest state to showcase its cultural heritage at the first Republic Day parade in 2015 after the state’s formation with a special tableau themed on celebration of Bonalu festival. But the Ministry of Defence had rejected the proposal with out citing any reason.

Interestingly, the selection committee has invited 21 states including Andhra Pradesh for the selection committee meeting convened on October 28 and Telangana officials even did not get an invite to their heart burn.

Andhra Pradesh will be showcasing its tableau themed on celebration of harvest festival Sankranti to the selection committee. The final selection of tableaus will be done in the final committee meeting on November 12. Telangana government is planning to move to the courts on this issue.
