Center yet again escapes from Bifurcation issues!

Couple of weeks ago, Supreme Court asked the Central government to intervene in the issue of division of the assets and liabilities of institutions under Section 8 and Section 9 of Andhra Pradesh Reorganization Act. The Supreme Court slashed the argument of Telangana getting right over all the institutions in its territory.

The Supreme court gave a ruling that the assets and liabilities are to be divided in population ratio and asked the Center to do the process. However it is emerging that Center informed both the states to solve the issue between themselves and refused to intervene in this issue which can pan in to a controversy.

The decision of the Center seem to have arrived after considering political gains and loss of BJP in both the states. Intervening in the issue can poke the Telangana side and so the center safely distanced itself. The issue likely to end up once again in courts with both sides sticking to their own agenda.
