Naidu A Better Option as PM Candidate Than Rahul

In an interview to a National Media Channel, NCP president Sharad Pawar has trashed the idea of Rahul Gandhi as a contender for the Prime Minister’s post and went on to say that Mayawati, Mamata Banerjee, and Chandrababu Naidu could rise as serious candidates for the top post.

Pawar also went on to say that he will make efforts to unite the non-NDA constituents to form a stable government if required. Pawar is also confident of bringing a few parties from NDA after the elections if needed. A common minimum programme is a glue that will bind all parties together and will take the government forward.

Regarding the doubts about a stable government, “We provided an alternative stable government to the country for ten years (UPA-1 and UPA-2). You cannot ignore that fact. The country is looking for a change. The result will be in our favor as people are no longer liking Modi or Shah,” he added.
