Naidu’s Addition to Modi’s Idea?

Andhra Pradesh Government is planning to conduct elections of various municipalities and corporations simultaneously with the Assembly and Parliament Elections. Vishakapatnam, Kakinada, Guntur, Ongole, Kurnool, Tirupati and Srikakulam are the Municipal Corporations.

Rajam, Nellimerla, Kandukur, and Rajampeta are the municipalities that are awaiting elections for a long time. Narendra Modi government is planning simultaneous elections for Assembly and Parliament. TDP government is also planning to gave local body elections as well simultaneously.

This decision will ensure that all the elections will be complete in three months and the remaining term will be focused on administration. But then such a decision will mean that these local bodies will not have elections for another two years.
