PM Office confirms appointment to AP CM

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu will be meeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi on August 25th in Delhi. The Prime Minister’s office confirmed the appointment to AP CMO a short while ago.

Naidu was to meet Modi today but the appointment was cancelled in the last minute due to some unforeseen reason. This meeting assumes huge significance as Naidu and Modi are likely to take a final stand about the Special Status and Special Package promised to Andhra Pradesh.

There is a huge wave of resentment against the Central government being insensitive towards Andhra Pradesh post the bifurcation. Following a suicide demanding the Special Status, Central government finally decided to finalize the Special package to the state. Chandrababu was asked to come to Delhi to discuss the details.
