Some of the employees just reported in Velagapudi and went back to Hyderabad. Some employees are totally evading work due to the proper lack of coordination between the working units in Hyderabad and Velagapudi. Now this is going to be a thing of the past as the government has directed all its employees in Hyderabad to report to work at Amaravati by September 19 and complete the relocation by month-end.
Official statistics show that about 7,200 employees have already reported at their offices in the capital region (Vijayawada-Guntur). Another 5,000 employees are expected to move out of Hyderabad next week. The government will be sanctioning one week leave to complete the relocation and they were also asked to avail travel advance facility. Only one or two officials will be allowed to stay back in Hyderabad to attend to court and tribunal cases.
