The silence has given rise to many speculations about possible seat-sharing.
The other day, speaking in a Pressmeet, Former Minister Alapati Raja went on to say he does not consider that Tenali seat is locked for him.
“The alliance will be decided by the party’s high command. I will contest from wherever they ask. Tenali seat is not locked for me. I am always mentally strong. Chandrababu Naidu will take care of me. I need not think about alternatives,” Alapati Raja said.
If at all, there is an alliance with Janasena, the Tenali assembly seat will be a problem because Janasena PAC Chairman Nadendla Manohar is interested.
Alapati Raja’s words are an indication that Tenali seat may be given to Janasena.
Nadendla Manohar won from Tenali twice in 2004 and 2009. Alapati Raja won in 2014 but lost to YSRCP’s Annabathuni Siva Kumar in 2019.
