Naidu’s Master Plan to Woo Voters in Election Year

Chandrababu Naidu has got into the Poll Mood with Elections less than one year to go. Naidu seems to be banking on Runa Mafi to keep the voters on his side. Runa Mafi which is done in five phases has already completed three.

Chandrababu Naidu is planning to finish the last two at one go by December. If it happens, those who have Runa Mafi for 1.5 Lakhs will get 60000 with interest in their accounts by this year-end. This is expected to reap rich dividends for the ruling party.

24 Lakh families whose loans are less than 50000 were waived off at one go. 31 Lakh families are benefitting in phases. The scheme will need 9500 Crore to execute these two phases. The entire scheme is costing 24,540 Crore to the state exchequer.
