Naidu Mentions Early Election Again – What’s Cooking?

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and TDP Supremo Chandrababu Naidu once again hinted about an early election. He called for the cadre and leaders to get ready to face the election in December 2018. This is the third such instance the CM talking about a possible early election.

Chandrababu opted for an early election during his last tenure after the Naxal Attack on himself but that backfired totally and he had to remain out of power for a decade. So the bad memories are haunting the TDP cadre. But then, there is a positive vote for TDP in the people and it is evident in Nandhyal and Kakinada.

Chandrababu may want to capitalize on it. Some more municipal elections are lined up in Andhra Pradesh in the next one year. The TDP Supremo may take a concrete decision about it based on their results.At the same time, if Center brings the legislation for All Elections At a Time, TDP is in favour of that as well.

The election in December 2018 will mean that there is effectively only one year for the governance and the last few months before the election will go for election management. It will also mean that the Opposition which is in shambles will not have much time to prepare.
