Chandrababu Naidu issued a strong message to MLAs, stating that their future in politics will depend on how people rate their performance.
Speaking at the “Pedala Seva” programme in Pamidimukkala, Krishna district, he said public feedback will play a key role in evaluating elected representatives. He made it clear that those who fail to perform will not get another opportunity.
Chandrababu emphasized that MLA performance will now be reviewed based on direct public opinion. Feedback will be gathered regularly, and non-performing leaders will be identified through this process.
Highlighting welfare initiatives, he said the government is spending around ₹33,000 crore annually on pensions. He described pension distribution as a responsibility towards the poor and noted that Andhra Pradesh is among the leading states in welfare spending.
He also spoke about steps being taken for worker welfare, including the establishment of Labour Adda centres, which are planned to be developed into skill hubs where workers can upgrade their abilities on non-working days.
On development, the Chief Minister shared updates on key projects. The Polavaram Project is targeted for completion by 2027, ahead of the Godavari Pushkaralu. Work on the diaphragm wall has resumed, and the Machilipatnam Port is expected to be completed by December.
He added that connectivity is being strengthened with the development of the Hyderabad–Machilipatnam expressway. Visakhapatnam is also attracting major technology investments.
On the power front, Chandrababu assured that electricity tariffs will not be increased until elections, and earlier charges have been reduced. Plans are also in place to expand healthcare infrastructure with new ESI hospitals in cities like Guntur, Kurnool, Tirupati and Amaravati.
He also targeted the previous government, alleging that key projects like Amaravati and Polavaram were neglected, and urged people to make informed political decisions.
Chandrababu’s remarks underline a governance approach focused on accountability, welfare and development, with a clear signal that public opinion will play a decisive role going forward.
In this model, power does not come from position alone, it comes from performance judged by the people.
