Chandrababu’s New Year with Amaravati Farmers

Former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Chandrababu Naidu and his wife Bhuvaneshwari will be spending the First Day of the New Year in Amaravati. TDP has decided to stay away from the New year celebrations in solidarity to the protests of the farmers who gave their lands to the Capital.

Chandrababu asked the party leaders and supporters not to bring bouquets and gifts to him and instead asked the money to be donated to the farmers and their protests. The farmers who are protesting against YSR Congress Government’s decision to trifurcate the Capital are doing one protest a day.

Tomorrow is going to be the exclusive protest of the women. Chandrababu Naidu’s wife, Bhuvaneshwari will be joining them tomorrow. Lokesh and Brahmani couple is also likely to join them. Opposition parties are criticizing that the Government’s decision even forced the women to come out of their houses and sit for protests.

Meanwhile, Andhra Pradesh High Court the other day asked the State Government to file a counter-affidavit along with the reports of the GN Rao Committee and the BCG Committee. The next hearing is posted to January 23rd.
