Naidu on Consultants Spree for Amaravati

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu is relying more on consultants these days. The state government had already hired as many as 30 consultants for various tasks that range from designing the proposed capital city Amaravati to beautification of the capital region and from developing waterfront tourism to organizing the foundation stone ceremony for capital city.

CRDA is operating with about 800 posts of which only a handful of them are recruited from them. CRDA had deputed some staff from other departments and so is relying on consultants to look after all important projects including their design and execution. CRDA already floated a notification for the event managers to organize Amaravati foundation stone laying ceremony.

Besides that CRDA is also looking for a consultant to design the pylon that will be unveiled to mark the capital city building event on October 22. Already bids were invited to recruit a a communication team to ‘give brand image’ to the state capital. No other urban development authority in the country hires so many consultants.
