Chandrababu & Pawan Kalyan’s Big Election Mistake

Polling in Andhra Pradesh has less than one month to go. Chandrababu Naidu is going all out in the campaign attending two to three roadshows per day. Pawan Kalyan’s campaign also picked pace. BJP National leaders are also expected to join the campaign in days to come.

Elections in Andhra Pradesh are a Psephologist’s nightmare due to the high stakes involved and the dramatic events unfolding every day.

YSR Congress tried to take advantage of the Pensions issue

The stone attack on Jagan the other day created a sensation. But then, given the track record of Jagan and such events before elections, the issue became troll material across the state.

Like this, there is one thing or something every few days influencing the voters.

Keeping aside these incidents, the Opposition alliance is missing something very elementary.

By this time in the Telangana elections, the Congress Party had bombarded Television, Social Media, and WhatsApp with small and effective advertisements.

That campaign where KCR and other BRS leaders are seen pushing a car with punctured tires was a blockbuster.

Telugu Desam Party should have immediately hired the agency. But then, nothing of that sort happened.

Keeping aside the agency, such ads are totally missing.

Short ads of that kind are very impactful. Along with Television, they are easily shareable on WhatsApp and Social Media to create a big impact. The Reach of an impactful ad will be unimaginable.

This is a big election mistake. Chandrababu Naidu and Pawan Kalyan should correct it immediately.
