Chandrababu Quash Petition Judgment After Diwali

Chandrababu Naidu‘s anticipatory bail petition in Fiber Grid case came up for hearing in the Supreme Court today. Justice Aniruddha Bose and Justice Bela M Trivedi heard the case today and adjourned it to November 30th.

The Bench said that it would hear this after the judgment in the Quash petition of the Skill Development Case is out.

Interestingly, the same bench finished the arguments in the Quash on October 17th and reserved the judgment since then.

The Bench also said that the judgment in the Quash petition will be pronounced after the Diwali Vacation.

Supreme Court’s Diwali Vacation from November 13th to 17th. The issue should be listed after that and that means the judgment will be out only after one month after it is reserved.

If at all, the quash petition goes in favor of Chandrababu, all the cases registered on Naidu will have to go since Section 17A will be applicable and all these cases will become null and void without the approval of the Governor.

YSR Congress camp is hoping that the Supreme Court will not decide on the issue and will hold their judgment until the Constitutional Bench hears Prashant Bhushan who already filed a PIL on Section 17A.
