Naidu Raps Jaitley About Inordinate Delay of Special Package

Ahead of his Meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi the next week, the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister has written a letter to Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley about the Special Package given to Andhra Pradesh previously.

Naidu reminded Jaitley that various proposals under Externally Aided Projects were pending with the Center and there is an inordinate delay in approving them. He urged the Finance Minister to immediately intervene and approve those projects.

With the news of Chandrababu being not happy with the Center, this letter assumes significance. In the Package, Centre’s share in both Central Aided Projects (CAP) and External Aided Projects (EAP) to 90 percent from the existing 60 percent. Naidu is keen on getting as many as EAPs to be approved for the state to derive maximum benefit.
