AP CM to Do Away with the Protocol During PM’s Visit?

Reports are emerging that Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has decided to do away with the official reception and send-off to Prime Minister Narendra Modi who will be on his maiden visit to the state after TDP pulled out of the NDA Government. According to the Protocol, the CM and the Governor were to receive the Prime Minister.

The Chief Minister will not even extend a meet to the Prime Minister as it is a Political Visit and nothing official. TDP and BJP fought the 2014 elections together but later parted ways. It is mainly due to BJP trying to arm-twist Naidu through the State Leaders and going back on key promises made to Andhra Pradesh.

The State Government has been releasing White Papers from the last few days exposing the injustice meted to the State by the Central Government. On the other side, Modi is expected to launch a scathing attack on Chandrababu Naidu in the Public Meeting at Mangalagiri scheduled on January 6th.
