Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has decided to permanently reside in Amaravati. He has been living in the Lingamaneni guesthouse in Undavalli village for nearly a decade. In many instances, he revealed his plans of constructing his own house in Amaravati. Finally, it is happening.
Chandrababu Naidu plans to construct a permanent residence in the Velagapudi area of Amaravati Capital region, that meets all requirements for a Chief Minister’s home, ensuring security and functionality.
Recently, Chandrababu’s family acquired a 25,000-square-yard plot in Velagapudi Revenue Village along E-6 road. The land, purchased from three farmers under the state’s land pooling scheme, is strategically located within two kilometres of key facilities, including gazetted officials’ quarters, NGO residential complexes, judges’ bungalows, and the temporary High Court. The plot also has road access on all four sides and is connected to Amaravati’s vital seed access route.
The house, set to be built on approximately 5.5 acres, will include parking facilities and accommodations for staff. Preparatory land tests are already underway, and construction is expected to begin soon. Once construction is finished, it will be the permanent residence of Naidu and his family.
