Chandrayaan 2 May Re-Launch on 22nd?

Chandrayaan 2 mission which got stalled midway due to a technical flaw in the system on 15th of this month may resume soon. Buzz is that the scientists at Satish Dhawan Space Center, Sriharikota are planning to resume the mission on 22nd of this month.

The launch was scrubbed on July 15 after Isro detected a last-minute leak in the cryogenic stage of the GSLV-MkIII. This happened just 56 minutes before the launch. ISRO scientists have worked on the flaw and are hopeful that they have fixed the nipple joint which has caused the leak.

The proximity of the joint to the tank that stores oxygen at minus 183 degrees Celsius; the extreme cold must have strained the joint, causing the leak, the scientists concluded. They have rectified it after studying some Russian Cryogenic Engines.

However, ISRO did not confirm the launch date officially.
