Cheating continues: Centre tall claims, paltry help to AP

Central government makes big claims on selecting Andhra Pradesh for the 24X7 Power Supply project but in reality the selection is on no help. To implement this scheme separation of agriculture and domestic feeders in rural areas is very important. Subsequently, proposals for 13441 Crores were submitted to the Union Power Minister but Andhra Pradesh just got 327 Crore.

All this 327 Crore should be used for giving new connections and not a single rupee for Feeders Separation. West Bengal (1572 Crore), Madhya Pradesh (977 Crore) and Tamil Nadu (110 Crore) have got separate funds for feeders separation. West Bengal (4240.9 Crore) and Madhya Pradesh (2851 Crore) are biggest beneficiaries from these allocations.

Even though AP has the distinction of 24X7 Power Supply state, it has got a paltry 326.97 Crore from Union Power Ministry. Rajasthan and Delhi are also the other states selected for 24X7 Power supply scheme. Andhra Pradesh government had registered its protest with Power Minister Piyush Goyal regarding these paltry allocations.
