CID Grills Bhumana on Tuni Arson Case

Former MLA and Senior YSR Congress Leader, Bhumana Karunakar Reddy appeared before AP CID in Guntur a short while ago. CID grilled him for about two hours over his alleged involvement in Tuni arson case. Bhumana reportedly did not co-operate with them and only stuck to the stance that he has no involvement in the case whatsoever.

Bhumana also told the officials that he did not meet with Kapu Strongman Mudragada Padmanabham before or after Kapu Gharjana meeting. Bhumana alleges government harassment in this case while CID sources say that there are evidence of his involvement and abetting of the violence in this case. Bhumana was accompanied by YSRCP MLA Chevireddy Bhaskar Reddy and others.

Buzz in political circles is that there may be arrests as well in this case in few days. People in Godavari districts say that YSR Congress funded the Kapu Gharjana meeting which was attended by Lakhs of people. Mudragada who was away from active politics for a long time could not afford such huge meeting otherwise, they say.

Earlier Mudragada himself admitted that Bhumana is his good friend and he extended his complete support to Kapu movement. On the other side, Mudragada is gearing up for one more agitation for Kapu Reservations. He called for a meeting in Rajamahendravaram on 11th in which all prominent Kapu leaders of 13 districts will participate.
