The CID has issued notices to Ram Gopal Varma. To counter them, RGV approached the High Court.
Cases have been filed in Ongole, Anakapalli and Mangalagiri. Ram Gopal Varma has become a target due to the film ‘Kamma Rajyamlo Kadapa Reddlu’.
The complainants said Varma made a film that instigated rivalries among people.
The Guntur CID officers gave him notices following the complaints. Varma already has cases against him. Now with fresh cases, the CID has given notices to Varma to appear before them.
Already there is a case against Ram Gopal Varma with regards to the movie Vyuham. It is said that he belittled AP CM Chandrababu and Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan in the movie. Varma went to the Ongole police station regarding the case.
In February 2025, he was summoned by CID authorities with regards to his film Kamma Rajyamlo Kadapa Reddlu which was later released as Amma Rajyamlo Kadapa Biddalu. However, the movie was released on YouTube under the original title.
A complaint was lodged by Vamsi Krishna Bandaru from Atmakur near Mangalagiri. CID issued notices on Feb 7. But RGV claimed he was busy with film promotions and sought 8 weeks time.
With fresh cases, Varma has approached the High Court for relief in the latest case. With cases in multiple police stations, will he be hopping around police stations like Posani is the big talk among film circles.
